With the historic ignition starter switch, Porsche has developed a tribute to historic races and has set itself the task of preserving the Porsche tradition of the “ignition key on the left”. It was designed together with Studio F.A. Porsche. Visually, it is reminiscent of the historic key head as used in the sports prototypes. For optimum stability and durability, it was milled from a single piece of aluminum. In order to protect the material, but also to recall the silver look of the aluminum bodies from the early days of Porsche motorsport, it was anodized in a clear finish. With 5 holes, finished with Porsche logos on both sides, the historic ignition starter switch brings a touch of racing history to the Porsche sports cars of today.

– Boxster Models 2013-2025
– Cayman Models 2013-2025
– 911 Carrera Models 2013-2019
– Cayenne Models 2011-2018
– Panamera Models 2009-2016
Installation Note: Turn your old key plug to the far left and hold it that way for 30 seconds. You will hear a click that unlocks the mechanism and you can then remove it. In some cases, the actual remote control key must be outside the car and out of range on the vehicle.
Please make sure your car has this option. If your car does not have Entry & Drive, this piece will not start the car.
