REDARC 20A Ignition Control Under Bonnet DC Battery Charger – BCDC1220-IGN. A 12 Volt 20 Amp DC DC charger designed to fully charge a lead acid auxiliary battery, suitable for vehicles fitted with an ECU-controlled variable voltage alternator. Fully potted against heat, water, dust and vibration. Lower voltage setting so it can continue to operate with a low input voltage from the alternator. BCDC is a dual battery charger will work with a wide operating range (9 – 32V) giving the option of charging from both 12V and 24V vehicle systems. A unique charging profile for each specific battery type can maintain optimal charge in auxiliary batteries while driving, including charge in an auxiliary battery that is a different characteristic to the start battery. Should the voltage get too low, the unit will act as a dual battery isolator for protecting the start battery.
